Position: Filtration Sales Specialist
Location: Austin, TX, Dallas, TX or Houston, TX
This is a Remote/Virtual working position.
The primary mission of the Filtration Sales Specialist is to define the filter strategy and generate profitable revenue growth for the company, focusing on core filtration product lines.
The Filtration Sales Specialist will be responsible for year-over-year organic sales growth by building and executing marketing strategies aligned with the FDF Segment's core business strategies. The role will build sales capabilities and win strategic targets in partnership with Commercial Leaders and Account Managers across North America.
Description/Duties:
- Help plan, direct, and implement sales activities to grow the Paint & HVAC Filtration business, including active in-person contact with key existing and new potential customers.
- Lead sales planning, including analysis of competitors, selling techniques, and quota setting. Develop growth plans.
- Drive sales activities related to new product launches, value pricing, and targeted solutions.
- Recommend product or service modifications based on market research, technical feedback, or sales team insights.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Sales/Branch Managers to increase filtration sales.
- Assist in developing sales forecasts and marketing plans.
- Conduct sales calls targeting strategic geographic locations and provide training on special applications.
- Work with current and new supply partners, assist in developing vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and incentives, and fill product gaps.
- Monitor performance against growth objectives.
Requirements:
- Technical degree or at least five years of experience selling technical products in filtration markets, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five years in filtration sales, management, product management, or technical service.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving change.
- Ability to travel within the U.S. up to 75%, including overnight stays.
- Strong technical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven sales skills with a history of year-over-year growth.
- Ability to identify market potential and provide technical support across filtration markets.
- Strong planning, project management, and tactical implementation skills.
- Experience with CRM systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication, customer relationship, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to understand technical documents.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to make sound decisions regarding gross margin and revenue.
- Ability to work in environments with moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and electrical equipment.
Physical Demands
- Ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, and perform other physical tasks, with a maximum unassisted lift of 50 lbs.
