About this role

Position: Filtration Sales Specialist

Location: Austin, TX, Dallas, TX or Houston, TX
This is a Remote/Virtual working position

The primary mission of the Filtration Sales Specialist is to define the filter strategy and generate profitable revenue growth for the company, focusing on core filtration product lines.

The role involves building sales capabilities and achieving year-over-year organic sales growth by developing marketing strategies aligned with the FDF Segment's core business strategies. The specialist will collaborate with Commercial Leaders and Account Managers across North America to target strategic sales opportunities.

Description/Duties:
  1. Plan, direct, and implement sales activities to meet company objectives and sales goals, focusing on growing the Paint & HVAC Filtration business. Maintain active in-person contact with key existing and potential customers.
  2. Lead sales planning, including competitive analysis, selling techniques, and quota setting. Develop growth plans.
  3. Drive sales related to new product launches, value pricing, and targeted solutions.
  4. Recommend product or service modifications based on market research, technical feedback, or sales team input.
  5. Collaborate with other sales and branch managers to increase filtration sales.
  6. Assist in developing sales forecasts and marketing plans.
  7. Conduct sales calls targeting strategic geographic locations and provide training on special applications.
  8. Build relationships with current and potential supply partners, negotiate contracts, and fill product gaps.
  9. Monitor performance against growth objectives.
Requirements:
  • A technical degree or at least five years of experience selling technical products in filtration markets, or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years in filtration sales, management, product management, or technical service.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and driving change.
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. up to 75%, including overnight stays.
  • Strong technical skills and mechanical aptitude to solve customer problems.
  • Effective sales skills with a focus on year-over-year growth.
  • Ability to identify market potential and provide technical support across filtration markets.
  • Excellent planning, tactical implementation, and project management skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems preferred.
  • Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and customer relationship skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to understand technical documents and blueprints.
  • Strong business acumen and decision-making skills related to margins and revenue.
  • Ability to work in environments with moving parts, fumes, chemicals, and electrical equipment.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend.
  • Maximum lift of 50 lbs.
