Job summary

Kurita America, part of the Kurita Group, is seeking a Field Technical Support Engineer to maintain and grow customer accounts in the Philadelphia area. The role includes up to 50% travel to customer sites, trade shows, and workshops, with compensation ranging from $80K to $100K DOE plus commission.

The successful candidate will leverage membrane expertise, foster relationships with customers, and contribute to regional training and technical papers at conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Life Sciences, or equivalent experience in water treatment industry.
• 5+ years of water treatment operations or field technical service experience with water treatment equipment/services or membrane plant operations.
• Understanding of membrane fundamentals (UF/MF/NF/RO) and basic water chemistry.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for hydraulic and electrical equipment and processes.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary field technical support contact; resolve issues, handle correspondence, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate membrane data; supervise site cleanings and pilot studies to optimize membrane performance.
• Develop sales opportunities with existing and new customer base.
• Normalize and report customer site data.
