Job summary

Kurita America, part of Kurita Group, seeks a Field Technical Service Engineer in Minneapolis, MN to maintain accounts and grow opportunities. Travel up to 50% with compensation ranging from $80K to $110K based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Life Sciences; water treatment industry experience desirable.
• 5+ years of water treatment operations or field technical service experience with water treatment equipment/service supplier or membrane plant operations.
• Understanding of membrane fundamentals and UF/MF/NF/RO membrane processes.
• Understanding of basic water chemistry and troubleshooting of hydraulic and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary field technical support contact: resolve technical issues, handle correspondence, provide periodic updates, ensure customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate membrane data, supervise customer site cleanings and pilot studies to optimize membrane performance and evaluate Avista products.
• Develop sales opportunities with existing and new customer base.
• Normalize and report customer site data.
• Network with peers in the industry, including membrane manufacturers and A&E firms.
• Author and present regional training and technical papers at regional conferences.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites, trade shows and workshops.
