Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector with a passion for cars to join our growing team. Inspectors are the face of the company, known for knowledge, energy, and meticulous reports.

You will inspect vehicles, prepare condition reports, and support the sales team while traveling to dealerships and homes for inspections. Applicants should have at least 1 year in the automobile field with customer service experience, strong English communication, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods of time.
• Problem solving aptitude with resourcefulness and innovative approaches.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit a report of vehicle condition, repair/replacement costs, and related documentation.
• Assist sales team with up-sell or cross-sell opportunities.
• Interface with dealers to build client satisfaction and relationships.
• Travel to various locations for inspections and write condition reports.
