Job summary

ACV Auctions invites an energetic Inspector to join a growing team. You will inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease locations, documenting conditions and estimating repair costs. You’ll work with the sales team to enhance service offerings and help dealers use ACV’s digital platform.

The role emphasizes trust, transparency, and customer service as you travel to sites, take photos, and create detailed condition reports for upload to our platform.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods.
• Problem solving aptitude and resourcefulness.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communicator to understand customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles at dealerships and auctions to detect damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit reports of vehicle condition and repair estimates.
• Assist sales team with upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with dealers and ensure client satisfaction.
• Travel to dealerships and homes for inspections and reporting.
• Capture multiple photos and upload them to the image server.
• List inspected vehicles for bidding on ACV Auctions platform.
• Onboard independent dealerships as buyers on the platform.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
