Job summary

Osmose is seeking a Foreman - Wood (Field) to ensure safety, reliability, and functionality of wooden utility poles. The role involves training in inspection procedures, safety protocols, and industry standards, with extensive travel across service areas.

You will work outdoors in all weather, lead field crews, and maintain equipment and records. The position requires physical stamina, a valid driver’s license, and a proactive attitude toward client service and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Possess a current/valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and no DUI/DWI within the past 5 years.
• Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather, physically demanding environment, lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Demonstrate leadership to ensure safe operation and maintenance of vehicle, equipment and tools.
• Outdoor work year-round in varying weather and terrain; may work long periods away from home.
• Must wear PPE in compliance with company regulations.

Responsibilities

• Undergo training to understand utility pole inspections and safety protocols.
• Learn and follow inspection procedures evaluating pole condition and signs of deterioration.
• Assist in identifying issues and contributing to maintenance planning.
• Complete inspection records and report per regulatory codes.
• Collect field data and perform daily/weekly reporting.
• Maintain and update records on tools, electronics, vehicles, and equipment.
• Adhere to company and governmental safety regulations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
