Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations in Massachusetts seeks an Assistant Utility Operator to monitor and operate ash and other auxiliary plant equipment from the field, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations. You will perform maintenance and minor repairs, troubleshoot equipment, and operate forklifts and other mobile gear with rotating shifts and possible overtime.

Massachusetts Hoisting License 1C/2A or the ability to obtain it within 9 months is required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical abilities to perform maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Massachusetts Hoisting License 1C/2A or ability to obtain within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and minor repairs to ash handling and other assigned auxiliary systems.
• Operate plant equipment with guidance to ensure proper functioning.
• Communicate clearly using intercom, radio, or face-to-face.
• Anticipate and address typical problems; take appropriate action.
• Troubleshoot equipment and assist in diagnosing problem areas.
• Operate forklifts, manlifts, skid steer loaders, and other mobile equipment.
• Maintain a positive work environment; ensure safe housekeeping.
• May work overtime during planned/unplanned maintenance.
• Cover vacancies and callouts to support plant operation.
