Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking an Assistant Utility Operator to monitor and operate ash handling and auxiliary plant equipment from the field, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support outage coverage while maintaining clear communications across teams.

Role requires rotating shifts and willingness to overtime; Massachusetts Hoisting License 1C/2A or the ability to obtain within 9 months of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical abilities to perform maintenance and minor repairs.
• Able to work rotating shifts and overtime.
• Massachusetts Hoisting License 1C/2A or ability to obtain within 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and minor repairs to ash handling and other assigned auxiliary systems.
• Operate plant equipment and systems with assistance and guidance from PO to ensure proper functioning.
• Communicates clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing; as well as communicates clearly whether using in-situ intercom system, two-way radio, or face to face.
• Anticipates typical problems, identifies potential or recurring problems, and takes appropriate action.
• Troubleshoots equipment and assist in diagnosing problem areas.
• Operates other equipment including, but not limited to, industrial forklifts, manlifts, skid steer type loaders, and other mobile equipment.
• Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
• Housekeeping: Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner
• May be required to work overtime hours during both planned and un-planned maintenance
• Cover vacancies and callouts when needed to support plant operation.
