Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations is seeking an Assistant Utility Operator to monitor and operate ash handling and auxiliary plant equipment. The role supports safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations with maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment operation tasks.

You will work rotating shifts, assist with repairs, and communicate clearly across teams while following safety protocols and QA standards. Benefits and a strong safety culture are highlighted by the employer.

Qualifications

• What candidates must have: mechanical abilities to perform maintenance and minor repairs.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• License or ability to obtain Massachusetts Hoisting License (1C/2A) within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and minor repairs to ash handling and auxiliary systems.
• Operate plant equipment with guidance to ensure proper function.
• Communicate clearly verbally and in writing using in-situ intercom, radio, or face to face.
• Anticipate and address typical problems; diagnose and troubleshoot equipment.
• Operate forklifts, manlifts, skid steers and other mobile equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and support housekeeping.
• Work overtime as needed and cover vacancies/callouts to support operations.
