Job summary

USIC seeks motivated individuals for field locators who will identify and mark underground utilities using company vehicles and equipment. You will work outdoors in varied weather, complete locate tickets and photos, and maintain accurate records.

Starting pay is $21/hour with potential to reach $33/hour with experience. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts is required; comprehensive benefits and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology and field data entry.
• Able to pass a drug screen; safety-sensitive position.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps and prints.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities, correctly and safely marking locations and documenting results.
• Perform daytime, full-time field work with potential overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
