Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking outdoor-focused field technicians to accurately locate underground utilities using company vehicles. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and timely documentation, with comprehensive training and advancement opportunities.

Daytime, full-time positions require overtime, weekend and on-call shifts. Training is 100% paid, with a company vehicle, fuel card, and other benefits to support career growth within a leading infrastructure services provider.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to work in a confined space; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities accurately and safely (telecommunications, electric, gas, water, sewer).
• Search designated areas, mark locations, complete documentation, and photograph each locate.
