Job summary

Olameter is hiring Locator Technicians in Pensacola, FL. No prior experience required; paid training is provided to ensure safe and accurate locating of underground utilities using specialized equipment.

Responsibilities include reading utility maps, locating gas, electric, water, cable, and sewer lines, with supervision from a company supervisor. Working hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:00pm, outdoors, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pass pre-employment screenings: drug test, background check, and driving record.
• Subject to random drug testing per DOT guidelines.
• Must be able to work overtime when required.
• Strong self-management and timely communication with supervisors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret utility maps to locate underground utilities.
• Use electronic locating equipment to protect utilities from damage.
• Identify utilities including gas, electric, water, cable, and sewer.
