Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC in Pensacola, FL is seeking field-oriented locators to locate underground utilities and mark sites. This full-time role involves outdoor work, independent field duties, and a company-provided vehicle with full training.

No prior locating experience is required, but candidates must be able to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts. The position emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with contractors and property owners.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
