Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking outdoor enthusiasts for full-time daytime Locators. You will locate underground utilities, mark sites, and document each locate using our systems with a company vehicle and equipment provided.

No prior locating experience is required, as we offer 100% paid training and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, and on-call overtime opportunities. Veterans are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Previous outdoor experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to work in a confined space; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and accurately, marking locations for multiple utility types.
• Search designated areas, complete documentation, and photograph each locate.
• Daytime, full-time positions with 48-hour turnaround on many locates.
• Able to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
