Job summary

USIC is seeking field locators to identify and mark underground utilities in a designated area. You will work independently in the field, using a company vehicle, and complete necessary documentation and photography for each locate.

We offer a robust training program, advancement opportunities, and benefits. You’ll join a safety‑focused team with daytime, full‑time hours, and potential overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to read tickets, maps and prints; communicate clearly with team and customers.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and accurately, including telecom, electric, gas, water and sewer lines.
• Mark locations precisely and document findings with required forms and photos.
• Work daytime, full-time with overtime, weekends and on-call shifts as needed.
• Operate a company-provided vehicle and utilize ticketing/claims systems for clear locates.
