Job summary

USIC is seeking field locators to identify and mark underground utilities across designated areas in the United States. You will work with a company-provided vehicle, complete locate tickets, and maintain thorough documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Training is provided and advancement opportunities exist. Must be able to work overtime, weekends and on-call shifts; the role involves outdoor tasks, weather exposure, and occasional nights.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to pass a drug screen.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps and prints.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently in designated areas.
• Mark the location and complete required documentation for each locate.
• Photograph each locate and communicate findings to customers, contractors and homeowners.
