Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Contract Utility Forester to manage vegetation for utility clients across diverse outdoor environments.

The role emphasizes safety, data collection, and collaboration with contractors to ensure compliant, efficient vegetation management near power lines. You will conduct inventories, plan work orders, and support field crews while representing an employee-owned company that values integrity, innovation, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field and 2+ years experience in utility line clearance
• Experience with ISA certification and data collection tools may be considered for qualification

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners and public agencies regarding pruning/removals
• Conduct tree and brush inventories
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations
• Plan work for tree contractors
• Gather and manage field data (species, size, distance from conductors)
• Validate data across databases to ensure reporting accuracy
• Verify that summaries and charts reflect underlying datasets
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in the work area
• Enforce on‑job safety practices
• Carry and utilize materials, tools, and equipment at the work site
• Service trucks and equipment; keep them neat and orderly
