Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is seeking a Contract Utility Forester to work outdoors and manage vegetation near power infrastructure. You will partner with utility clients, property owners, and contractors to ensure safe, sustainable vegetation management practices while supporting nationwide growth.

The role emphasizes data collection, field inspections, and hazard assessment, with a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field; 2+ years utility line clearance experience.
• ISA Certification or Utility specialist within first year.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners and public agencies regarding pruning and/or removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations.
• Plan work for tree contractors.
• Gather and manage field data; including tree species, size, and distance from conductors.
• Safeguard employees and public from hazards in and around the work area.
