Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to perform field vegetation management duties, from pre-patrol preparation to landowner engagement. The role emphasizes safety, environmental awareness, and adherence to client specifications while operating in outdoor utility corridors.

You will conduct risk assessments, document findings, and coordinate with contractors and stakeholders on vegetation clearance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Preferred GIS knowledge and basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Safely patrol energy corridors on foot and identify vegetation needs.
• Classify work and apply pruning or removal per standards and herbicide use.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and monitor growth rates.
• Engage landowners and agencies to obtain permissions for vegetation work.
• Audit contractor work for compliance with client specifications.
• Report safety concerns and follow AMS safety protocols.
