Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions, LLC is seeking a Contract Forester/Utility Forester to join our team and perform vegetation management duties along energy corridors. The role emphasizes safe field work, coordination with landowners and agencies, and adherence to client standards.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in electric utility vegetation management or equivalent.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline (education may be contract dependent).
• Knowledge of tree identification and vegetation management concepts.
• Familiarity with GIS, MS Office, and willingness to learn new programs.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work alone outdoors in varying weather and terrain.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; detail-oriented and capable of multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Safely patrol energy corridors and identify vegetation tasks per client standards.
• Classify work and apply ISA pruning techniques and ANSI line clearance standards.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and monitor growth rates.
• Engage landowners and agencies to obtain permissions for vegetation work.
• Audit contractor work for compliance with client specifications.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in storm/emergency response as needed.
