Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester to join our vegetation management team in Waycross, GA. This field-focused role offers independent work, a strong safety culture, and opportunities to advance industry credentials.

You will assess vegetation around energy corridors, coordinate with landowners, and apply ISA pruning techniques and ANSI standards. Valid driver's license and GIS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, or related discipline (education may be required depending on client contract).
• Experience in forestry, arboriculture, horticulture or tree-related green industry preferred.
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS software/technology; ability to learn new programs.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record; ability to work alone outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Organize records, maps, and paperwork for patrol circuits and maintain documentation.
• Safely patrol energy corridors, identify vegetation for pruning, removal, or protection.
• Conduct Tree Risk Assessments and analyze growth rates.
• Mark vegetation and prescribe clearance actions per client directives.
