Job summary

ArborMetrics is hiring a Consulting Utility Forester to join our outdoor field team in the Columbus, GA area. You will perform patrols along energy corridors, assess vegetation, and implement ISA pruning standards while engaging with landowners and agencies.

Excellent safety mindset and ability to work independently are essential. Compensation includes a company vehicle, medical/dental/vision benefits, retirement plan options after probation, and ongoing training with industry certifications.

Qualifications

• Requires degree or equivalent work experience in forestry or related field.
• Experience in forestry/arboriculture preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Patrol: organize records, maps, and paperwork; review sites for habitats.
• Field Patrol: identify vegetation for pruning/removal and apply ANSI/ISA standards.
• Landowner: obtain permissions and communicate work plans to owners and agencies.
• Coordination & Safety: follow safety protocols; operate vehicles; travel to sites.
• Additional: participate in storm response and other duties as assigned.
