Job summary

Atlas Field Services is seeking Contract Utility Foresters to support vegetation management in assigned territories in Texas. You will patrol rights of way, coordinate with contractors, and document safety and compliance while helping to meet client expectations.

The role requires field-oriented individuals with forester experience and strong communication skills. The position offers full-time work with opportunities for growth and safety emphasis in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Arboriculture, or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Associate Degree with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in utility vegetation management.
• High school diploma with a minimum of six (6) years as a forester or other related position in the utility industry.
• Learns company procedures while assisting senior foresters.
• Performs inspections and contractor support under direct supervision.
• Develops technical knowledge and field experience.
• Good verbal, written communications, & computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the company forester(s) with vegetation management in an assigned territory.
• Patrol & inspect electric utility right of way to determine appropriate management activities.
• Assist in the investigation of property owner & customer concerns.
• Assist in the monitoring of all vegetation management activities for contract compliance.
• Assist with storm restoration or other emergency situations as directed by AEP.
• Under direction, communicate work to be performed to the vegetation contractors.
• Assist with random observations/inspections of vegetation crews for safety compliance.
• Conduct inspections of completed vegetation management work to ensure compliance with guidelines/standards.
