Job summary

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service seeks a Field Unit Local Hiring Authority (FUL) - Maintenance Worker for the Caribbean Islands NWR Complex in Culebra, Puerto Rico.

This position performs intermediate construction, rehabilitation, maintenance, and trade work using hand and power tools at sites of varying size and complexity. You will operate motor vehicles, interpret instructions and blueprints, and maintain tools and equipment with minimal supervision.

Job description

You will serve as a Field Unit Local Hiring Authority (FUL) - Maintenance Worker CARIBBEAN ISLANDS NWR COMPLEX.

This position performs intermediate construction, rehabilitation, maintenance, and trade work using hand and power tools at sites of varying size and complexity for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Culebra, Puerto Rico.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:

1. ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF MAINTENANCE WORKER WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION (SCREEN OUT)
2. Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
3. Use of Measuring Instruments
4. Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
5. Operates of motor vehicles
6. Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading)
