Job summary

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking permanent Maintenance Worker positions to perform intermediate construction, rehabilitation and maintenance tasks at agency facilities. Pay varies by duty location and is contingent on selected site.

Travel may be required, including overnight stays, with possible regional travel requirements noted in the Duties section. Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate knowledge across measuring instruments, blueprint reading, and equipment

Job description

These are permanent Maintenance Worker positions intended to perform a variety of intermediate construction, rehabilitation and maintenance work at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service facilities for which the applicant is selected.

Pay will vary based on the duty location for which you're selected. See details under Duties.

• You must be at least 18 years of age or older to operate government vehicles.
• You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 5 nights per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. (Basking Ridge, NJ you may be expected to travel up to 10 nights per month.)
