Job summary

Job description

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Worker is to perform recurring building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties and to assist journeymen and other higher graded maintenance workers.

The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Seasonal Staffing Office- Bering Land Bridge National Preserve is October through March but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: November 2026. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-10/05/2026-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.

Applicants must be physically fit and, as required in the Office of Personnel Management Qualifications Handbook X-118C, must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the job elements listed below to perform the duties of the position at the level for which they are applying. A specific length of time and experience is not required. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
