Job summary

United Utility Services is seeking a skilled UAS Pilot to support Transmission and Distribution field surveys. You will collect ground and aerial data on power lines and poles, aiding design, permitting, and construction teams.

The role requires travel with overnight stays paid by the company. Opportunities include GPR training and Thermography Level 1 certification, expanding field expertise and professional growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience operating unmanned aerial systems in T&D.
• Knowledge of power lines, poles, and related equipment.
• Ability to capture and analyze thermal and visual data.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight for project sites.

Responsibilities

• Pre-flight planning and risk assessment for data collection.
• Operate UAS to capture visual and thermal data of T&D poles.
• Collect and process data for design and maintenance teams.
• Inspect data for accuracy and prepare reports.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance during flights.
