Job summary

ISG, based in Wisconsin, is seeking a Transportation Construction Technician for its La Crosse area. This field-based role requires travel to job sites, collaboration with contractors, and real-time decision-making to ensure road projects are built correctly.

You will work with WisDOT, County, and City clients across Wisconsin, learning from experienced leaders and contributing to a multi-disciplinary team focused on planning, design, survey, and construction.

Qualifications

• Field-based role requiring travel to job sites.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Experience with WisDOT standards and Civil 3D is a plus, but not required.
• Willingness to learn; proven track record and solid references are essential.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to WisDOT, County, and City transportation construction projects.
• Conduct professional meetings including pre-construction, public information and weekly construction meetings.
• Perform civil engineering calculations; prepare engineering plans, designs and reports; provide construction oversight including inspection when needed.
• Serve as liaison with clients, government and regulatory authorities and contractors.
• Deliver project documents within budget and time constraints while satisfying client requirements.
• Develop and enhance client relationships and business growth.
• Prioritize overall project management and ensure successful project delivery.
• Assist with design of transportation and municipal infrastructure projects when in the office.
