Job summary

ISG is hiring a Civil Construction Engineer to support our Transportation and Public Works teams in Wisconsin. The role focuses on construction inspection, management, and administration services for WisDOT, county, and city projects based out of La Crosse and nearby offices.

The candidate should have a civil engineering background, be comfortable traveling to job sites, and collaborate with senior staff. A valid driver’s license is required and ESOP ownership highlights ISG’s employee ownership

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with WisDOT standards preferred.
• Willingness to travel to job sites.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Management of WisDOT, County, and City transportation construction projects.
• Conduct pre-construction, public information and weekly construction meetings.
• Perform civil engineering calculations; prepare plans, designs and reports.
• Provide construction oversight including inspection when needed.
• Serve as liaison with clients, government authorities and contractors.
• Deliver project documents within budget and schedule.
• Develop and enhance client relationships and business growth.
• Prioritize project management to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to project team members.
• Assist with design of transportation and municipal infrastructure projects.
