Job summary

The OM Group, a Wingstop franchise partner, seeks a Field Training Specialist to drive hands-on coaching in Minnesota restaurant operations. You will train teams, support new openings, and ensure execution of Wingstop standards across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate will coach managers and hourly staff in real-time, aligning with guest experience, food safety, and speed. This role emphasizes field-based, practical training with travel across Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant operations, hospitality, training, or multi-unit restaurant support strongly preferred.
• Restaurant management or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience training, coaching, or developing hourly team members and restaurant managers.
• Strong verbal communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and hold teams accountable to standards.
• Strong understanding of guest service and hospitality-focused behaviors.
• Ability to learn restaurant systems, procedures, and brand standards quickly.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills for multiple restaurants.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced restaurant environment and providing hands-on operational support.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and use basic office software and LMS.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on training for team members, managers, and restaurant leadership.
• Support new restaurant openings (NROs) across Minnesota with pre- and post-opening training.
• Conduct onboarding and training for newly hired and promoted restaurant managers.
• Coach restaurant teams on Wingstop standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Train and reinforce guest experience, food quality, safety, speed, cleanliness, and execution.
• Observe operations and identify training or performance gaps.
• Develop action plans and follow-up coaching to improve execution.
• Partner with District Managers, General Managers, and Operations leadership to set training priorities.
• Support restaurants facing performance challenges with retraining and coaching.
• Reinforce station deployment, shift execution, and opening/closing procedures.
• Support rollout of new programs, systems, products, and initiatives.
• Utilize training programs, job aids, and LMS to reinforce standards.
• Track training completion, certifications, and coaching activities.
• Help develop training materials and learning resources.
• Identify and develop high-potential team members for leadership roles.
• Model expectations for professionalism, accountability, hospitality, teamwork, and leadership.
• Provide ongoing feedback to Operations leadership on training needs and progress.
