Qualifications

• One year of field/engineering-related experience or equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of traffic data collection devices, calibration, and data handling desired.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and to travel statewide as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure traffic data collection equipment, including wiring and solar panels.
• Maintain and service traffic data collection systems and perform diagnostics and calibration.
• Operate software tools (Road Reporter, MS2, TrafInfo) to upload and process data.
• Coordinate with supervisors and contractors on upgrades to telemetry and remote data retrieval.
• Draft site proposals and select appropriate equipment based on site constraints.
• Keep detailed field reports and data records up to date.
