Job summary

The Traffic Group Limited is seeking a Traffic Technician - Statewide. This entry-level role involves installing and relocating traffic counting machines on interstate roadways, collecting devices, and downloading data for printing.

You will also perform turning movement counts and assist in maintaining equipment as required. The position requires extensive statewide travel, occasional overnight stays, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lighting conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Must pass a background check and a negative drug test prior to hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and problem-solving skills; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Programs and places traffic counting machines along interstate level roadways as instructed.
• Collects traffic counting machines at conclusion of counts.
• Downloads data from traffic counters to computer and prepares printouts.
• Conducts turning movement counts when requested.
• Helps to maintain traffic counting equipment.
