Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and eighteen (18) months experience in one or more of the following fields: drafting, surveying, inspection, materials testing, plan review, permitting, computerized mapping, CAD, traffic signal control, code enforcement, customer service representative, and/or a related field.
• Must possess at least three courses in geometry, drafting, surveying (Geomatics) or Right of Way (ROW)

Responsibilities

• Assists with field installation, monitoring, retrieval, and maintenance of traffic data collection systems and computer databases.
• Performs traffic studies including vehicle counts, stop-and-delay studies, gap studies, radar checks, and pedestrian zone evaluations; compile and edit data; file and maintain records.
• Investigates requests for traffic information and performs other related duties.
