Job summary

Intertek in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania is seeking a Field Testing Technician II (Crew Lead) to oversee field testing projects, lead a crew, and deliver high-quality results on site.

You will set up test chambers, operate building-test equipment, and communicate with clients and project teams about observations and test readiness.

The role includes frequent travel with travel expenses covered, on-the-job training, and clear opportunities for growth within Intertek's Building and Construction division.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in commercial construction, building envelope, or fenestration.
• Ability to learn building envelope systems and testing standards.
• Willingness to travel 75%+ and lead a crew.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Lead field testing projects, data collection and report writing.
• Set up testing including rough carpentry to construct test chambers.
• Operate equipment inside buildings and work with customers during testing.
• Operate high reach lift equipment (boom lifts, scaffolding).
• Assist with forensic investigations of building envelope failures.
• Coordinate with clients and project team on site observations and test preparation.
