Job summary

Midco is seeking a Seasonal Laborer-Construction Technician to support the Construction department with maintaining, expanding, and upgrading Midco's regional network. The role focuses on installation of conduits, cables, pedestals, and ongoing map updates to support fiber expansion and improve customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will be near Isanti, MN, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and safety certifications.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record; DUI in past 5 years disqualifies.
Construction First Time Right certification within 60 days of hire and apply principles.
Knowledge of construction, NEC, OSHA, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Install conduits, cables, and pedestals with other utilities in open trench opportunities.
Support maintenance, expansion and upgrades to Midco's regional network.
Update maps accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform quality assurance checks and complete proper documentation.
Locate existing underground cable and splice coaxial cable.
Read and utilize regional network maps and plans.
Follow Midco safety program and wear required PPE and operate equipment safely.
Operate a company vehicle in compliance with policies and maintain vehicle.
