Job summary

AIS is seeking a Business Technology Consultant to drive new business in the San Diego territory. You will prospect, build relationships, present technology solutions, prepare proposals, and close sales while ensuring exceptional customer experience.

The role emphasizes field-based activity with substantial travel and a base salary plus uncapped commissions, offering substantial upside potential based on performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of outside B2B sales, business development, or consultative sales experience with demonstrated success achieving sales goals.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills, with strong consultative selling and relationship building abilities.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage an assigned sales territory with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to regularly travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Prospect new business through networking, referrals, cold calling, canvassing, and other approved sales activities.
• This is a field-based sales position with more than 50% travel; meet customers, conduct discovery meetings, and recommend technology solutions.
• Present products and services through professional sales presentations and product demonstrations.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and contracts; negotiate pricing and contract terms within approved authority; close new business opportunities.
• Maintain CRM records, customer communications, pipeline activity, and sales forecasts.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
