Job summary

MWH Constructors seeks an experienced Field Technology Manager to lead survey and machine control equipment across multiple projects. You will oversee GNSS/GPS bases, rover systems, total stations, and machine-control cab kits, ensuring equipment is deployed, calibrated, and ready for field use.

The role requires deep Trimble ecosystem expertise, strong organizational skills, and collaboration with SITECH and vendors to keep operations safe and efficient on-site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in construction surveying, machine control, or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of Trimble survey and construction technology.
• Experience with GNSS/GPS base and rover systems and total stations.
• Experience troubleshooting survey and machine control hardware in field environments.
• Strong organizational skills and equipment inventory management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard business applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the company's survey and machine control equipment fleet (GNSS, base/rover, total stations, data collectors, etc.).
• Maintain accurate inventory records and deployment configurations.
• Develop and maintain processes for check-in/check-out, deployment, inspection, and storage.
• Coordinate equipment movement among offices, projects, and service providers.
• Provide field technology support and troubleshooting to project teams and field personnel.
• Coordinate repairs, calibration, firmware updates, and vendor interactions (SITECH and others).
• Develop troubleshooting guides and training materials for field staff.
• Generate reports on equipment utilization, downtime, and replacement needs.
