Job summary

Advanced Wireless Communications (AWC) seeks a skilled LMR two-way radio and ERCES Public Safety DAS Field Technician. You will install, test, repair, and support wireless systems for retail and long-term care clients, with extensive hands-on work in the field and on-site environments.

The role requires up to 90% travel, with experience in DAS infrastructure, two-way radios, and related OEM equipment. NICET or GROL certification is preferred; AS degree in engineering or related field is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and repairing two-way communications systems and ERCES systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills down to component level (analog/digital).
• Capable of running and terminating coax cables (LMR/Helix).
• Proficient with Kenwood, Motorola, Vertex radios and related tech.
• NICET or GROL certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain LMR, ERCES, and DAS infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair two-way radios, portables, mobiles, and network components.
• Read schematics and wiring documentation; interface with engineering and QA.
• Maintain service documentation and repair reports.
• Provide training and assist sales with demo/loaner equipment.
• Utilize test equipment and monitors for diagnostics.
