Job summary

Gvty is seeking a Field Technician with CDL to operate and service rental equipment at customer locations across Wyoming. The role includes delivery, setup, minor repairs, and on-call support. You will recruit and train new staff as needed and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.

You must be at least 21, have a valid driver's license, and possess basic mechanical knowledge. Lifting 50+ pounds and reading/writing English are required for success in this field.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equival ent; some college preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old and maintain insurability.
• Requires basic mechanical knowledge and experience.
• Ability to complete wiring of rig plugs and hard wiring of generators.
• Ability to troubleshoot 480V equipment.
• Must be able to drive long distances/periods in Company vehicle.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Requires understanding of basic maintenance concepts needed to perform light to moderate repairs as necessary.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Delivers, sets up, swaps, fuels, and performs minor repairs on diesel- and natural gas-powered equipment on customer locations.
• Operates Company commercial vehicles, including tractor trailers and token trailers, and equipment in accordance with policy and safety procedures.
• Maintains and completes required logbooks, DVIR, and all other DOT required forms.
• Performs DOT inspections on equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance and service on equipment.
• Provides technical assistance to customers and members of Sales team.

The Field Technician w/CDL 3 operates a commercial vehicle and provides delivery and setup of the Company’s rental equipment to customer locations. Performs preventative maintenance and service on equipment in the field in a safe and efficient manner. This position also provides training to new employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Works with ethics, honesty, values, and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism toothers.
• Delivers, sets up, swaps, fuels, and performs minor repairs on diesel- and natural gas-poweredequipment on customer locations.
• Operates Company commercial vehicles, including tractor trailers and token trailers, andequipment in accordance with policy and safety procedures.
• Maintains and completes required logbooks, DVIR, and all other DOT required forms.
• Performs DOT inspections on equipment.
• Completes starting and charging repairs on ICE (internal combustible engine) poweredequipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance and service on equipment.
• Performs diagnosis on field equipment to evaluate the need for further field repair or swapout.
• Uses all electrical tools, safety devices, and equipment in accordance with policy and safetyprocedures.
• Provides technical assistance to customers and members of Sales team.
• Assists in covering key staffing shortages at the branch as necessary.
• Adheres to all state and federal DOT laws.
• Completes all required monthly safety and equipment-related trainings.
• Answers Company-issued cell phone during on call hours, in accordance with Company and safetypolicies.
• Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.

Experience

High School or GED equivalent, some college preferred.
