Job summary

Davey Resource Group, Inc. in Richfield, OH seeks a UAM Field Technician 1 to plan, inspect, and document utility infrastructure in the field.

This entry-level role offers on-site work and progression under supervision, supporting utility clients with asset information through GPS, field audits, and data capture. You will travel 75–100% to on-site sites, work alone or with a team, and learn to operate field tech tools while complying with safety rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in basic office applications and data entry; willingness to learn mapping software.
• Read and comprehend instructions; communicate clearly one-on-one and in groups.
• Perform basic arithmetic and apply instructions to problems with multiple variables.
• Able to work in all weather conditions; valid driver's license with clean MVR and safety course.
• Preferred: prior electric utility or outdoors experience; equipment identification skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate independently or as part of a two-person team to meet targets.
• Conduct field audits of utility infrastructure; identify, inspect, and record information.
• Use GPS, handheld computers, cameras and related field tech.
• Record observations accurately; communicate with property owners for access.
• Drive and maintain company vehicle; navigate diverse terrains and weather.
• Identify safety risks and ensure compliance with regulations and client specs.
• Support data integrity in GIS databases; participate in training events.
• Travel 75-100% for on-site duties; perform other duties as assigned.
