Job summary

Davey Resource Group, Inc. is seeking an entry-level UAM Field Technician 1 to support utility infrastructure assessments in Roanoke, VA and other Virginia locations.

You will plan, inspect, and record field data under supervision, using GPS, hand-held devices, maps, and cameras. This on-site role requires a high-school diploma, basic computer skills, and a valid driver’s license; travel 75–100% is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in basic office applications and data entry.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Read and comprehend instructions and memos.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a lone worker when required.
• Collaborate with a paired technician for scheduling.
• Meet weekly production targets.
• Perform field audits of utility infrastructure.
• Use GPS devices, hand-held computers, and cameras.
• Record and verify field observations.
• Maintain safety and follow regulations.
• Travel 75–100% for on-site duties.
• Assist with data integrity in GIS databases.
