Job summary

GridHawk LLC seeks a Locate Technician to identify underground utilities including telephone, electric, gas and water lines. Candidates will observe, mark and document locations, work independently or in teams, and follow safety protocols in various terrains and weather conditions.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check and a DOT drug test. Benefits are offered for regular full-time employees.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• State driver's license required.
• Ability to read and interpret prints.
• Vacuum truck experience preferred.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk/stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground facilities using transmitter and buried lines.
• Traverse various terrains in construction, residential, commercial areas and weather conditions.
• Interpret job orders, blueprints and maps to plan routes and duties.
• Perform locates during regular, overtime and holiday hours as needed.
• Communicate with customers, co-workers and third parties to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate with management and utility customers to ensure damage-free operations.
