Job summary

GridHawk LLC is seeking Locate Technicians responsible for accurately locating underground facilities such as telephone, electric, cable, gas, fiber, water and sewer lines. You will observe, locate, mark and document locations, often using multiple methods, in a team or independent setting under supervision.

Candidates must pass a DOT drug test and are provided with a company vehicle, laptop and smartphone along with full PPE.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• State-issued driver's license required.
• Ability to read and interpret prints.
• Vacuum truck experience preferred.
• Must lift 50 lbs.
• Good communication skills.
• DOT drug test must be passed.
• Able to work in varied terrains and weather.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground facilities using transmitter and locate buried facilities.
• Work in construction zones, residential, commercial, industrial and rural areas in all weather conditions.
• Interpret job orders, blueprints and maps to route and perform duties.
• Perform locates and on-call locates during regular, overtime and holiday hours as needed.
• Communicate with customers, co-workers and third parties to ensure a damage-free environment.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and effectively.
