Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Groton, CT is seeking a Field Technician to provide maintenance and technical support on equipment at customer and field locations. You will work under limited supervision and may mentor other staff in areas of expertise.

Responsibilities include diagnosing failures, installing and servicing products, and ensuring strong customer communications. A US Secret Security Clearance is required, with significant travel expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Active US Secret Security Clearance.
• Preferred: Strong communication skills, Competent computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs and modifies equipment.
• Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations.
• Troubleshoots and performs diagnostic tests of equipment malfunctions.
• Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change.
• Maintains effective customer communications and relations.
• May provide onsite training of customer support personnel.
• Interprets customers' needs and clarifies responsibilities for problem resolution.
