Job summary

American Engineering Testing Inc in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Field Technician I to perform field and laboratory testing of soils and concrete in support of QA/QC procedures and industry standards. You will follow ASTM/ACI/ASIC guidelines, ensure safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance while supporting project teams.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in the field with occasional travel; a 2-year degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two-year vocational or college degree is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in field and visit construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soils, plastics or masonry products in accordance with standards.
• Observe excavations and correlate observations with soil logs.
• Report test results and communicate with project manager and clients.
• Maintain safety and QA/Health & Safety policies.
• Travel within the regional area and occasional out-of-town travel.
