Job summary

V2X Inc. invites a Field Technician to join our perimeter intrusion detection program in the Newark area. You will perform maintenance, installation, and repair on camera, radar, fence sensor, VMD, and related electronic systems across fielded platforms.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical/electronic hardware, ability to read schematics, and the capacity to work from elevated platforms. A valid driver’s license is essential; security clearances may be needed.

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience in electrical/electronic circuitry.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment;
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license; Class B CDL is a plus.
• Four years of proven experience in electrical/electronics and fiber optics.
• Three years’ systems troubleshooting in Windows environment.
• Ability to work at heights using lifts and equipment."

Responsibilities

• Install, test, integrate, and troubleshoot fixed and PTZ camera systems.
• Test radar systems and troubleshoot components.
• Install fence sensors, VMD, and video encoders; configure and calibrate.
• Set up test stations and build/modify test cables for diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot computer workstations and power supplies; support field systems.
