Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, L.P. is seeking a Field Technician to support the tenant turn process and uphold our property quality standards. You will manage a portfolio of single-family homes, coordinate move-outs, inspect contractor work, and perform on-site maintenance tasks across our Tucson area properties.

The role requires hands-on experience with basic tools, HVAC knowledge, CDL license eligibility optional, and strong safety awareness. Eligible for quarterly bonuses and company benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum two years of residential/property maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• EPA Certification or HVAC Type II preferred.
• OSHA safety knowledge required.
• Proficient with basic hand and power tools.
• Experience with iPad, CRM, and HVAC tech support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property inventory and perform tenant turns and move-out inspections.
• Oversee contractor work and inspect completed tasks to meet standards.
• Coordinate move-out procedures, keys, and condition reports with tenants.
• Attend eviction set-outs and eviction hearings as needed.
• Provide troubleshooting for plumbing, garage doors, irrigation, and electrical issues.
• Lift and carry up to 75 pounds; work at heights on ladders as required.
