Job summary

ONE Gas, Inc. is seeking a Field Operations worker to perform construction, installation, maintenance and removal on transmission and distribution pipelines. The role requires hands-on work with a variety of tools and equipment in outdoor environments.

You will load and operate tools, perform routine vehicle maintenance, and respond to emergencies or customer orders. Strong attention to safety, ability to read maps/blueprints, and fluency in English are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of manual tools and equipment used in the position.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic (tested).
• Knowledge of construction and maintenance of pipeline systems.
• Training relative to excavations and confined spaces; safety procedures.
• Ability to read maps, blueprints, and job orders.
• Fluent reading/writing in English.
• Driver's license and Operator Qualifications; CDL eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipeline construction, installation, maintenance and removal on transmission and distribution pipelines.
• Load, unload and operate tools and equipment listed in the job block.
• Perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance (fueling, oil, fluids).
• Investigate customer orders and emergency situations (low pressure, leaks, fires).
• Maintain regular attendance; perform additional duties as assigned.
