Job Summary: This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop and field. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication.

Responsibilities:

• Repair equipment and components, including developing repair plans and sequences.
• Determine necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc.
• Perform repairs safely and correctly, with quality assurance testing.
• Complete reports for parts ordering, tooling usage, service reports, and work orders.
• Communicate repair progress with supervisors.
• Manage parts and tool retrieval and return through company systems.
• Maintain proper care of tools and shop equipment.
• Use company vehicle, service truck, and fuel cards responsibly.
• Keep work area and vehicle clean and safe.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills: High School Diploma or G.E.D., or an Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology, or four years of apprenticeship experience. Classification depends on experience, knowledge, and competence.

Physical Demands: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, handle, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, lift, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Accommodations may be made for disabilities.

Work Environment: Frequently exposed to humid conditions, moving mechanical parts; occasionally to fumes, outdoor weather, extreme temperatures, and vibration. Noise level is moderate to loud.
